Moksha language петнемс

Hi! Wow, looking through this Wikipedia I found this language extremely interesting and I decided to help this Wikipedia. Maybe you know some Moksha-resources where I can learn just the basics of the language? Thanks in advance. Timpul 18:29, 11 Ийульков 2008 (UTC)

Thanks a lot! Maybe for a good start I will prepare some stubs of the Silesian villages and cities. Could you prepare some patterns in Moksha like

___ (in Silesian: ___, in Polish: ___) is a city in the Silesian voivodship (Silesia region), in Poland. In ___ live 56154 people. The city was established in ___ .

___ (in Silesian: ___, in Polish: ___) is a village in the Silesian voivodship (Silesia region), in Poland. In ___ live 56154 people. The city was established in ___ .

All I would like to ask you to do is this. The rest will be written by me ;) Ah, and if some endings of cases or sth like that would be necessary, please let me know :). Timpul 12:41, 12 Ийульков 2008 (UTC)

Yoohoo? Are you there? ;) Timpul 13:26, 16 Ийульков 2008 (UTC)
HI! Thank you and I'm sorry for not writing anything here for a long time. I just want to ask you to add a category "Cities in Silesia" both to Катовице and Лендзины :) And, if it's possible also links, like to "polish language", "silesian language", "Poland" and so on. I have also one question - how do we construct a genitive in Moksha? I wrote Тише Катовице intending "the coat of arms of Katowice, but I know it's wrong. So, how do we do it? Greetings, Timpul корхнема 12:37, 24 Августков 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. And also the category "Silesian villages" for Компрахчице would be useful (and that's all what I'm asking you for, I swear :D). What do yuo think, should I use the Silesian or Polish (or maybe Russian) name as a base of the Mokshan one? I wrote at first Лыньдьины which is constructed from a Silesian name Lyńdźiny, but one of the users moved it. The difference is slightly visible here, but what about such places as Rothaus (Polish: Osiny)? Timpul корхнема 13:18, 24 Августков 2008 (UTC)

Hi! Could you make an article about the Silesian language here? In return I can make an article eg. about your village/city or anything you want on szl or pl.wiki :) Here's the proposed text but of course you can create your own :) That's when you won't have any good topic to write about :D

The Silesian language (Silesian: ślůnsko godka, ślůnski, sometimes also pů našymu) is a language spoken by people in the Upper Silesia region in Poland, but also in Czech Republic and Germany. In the National Census of Poland in 2002 about 56 000 people declared Silesian as their native language.

Silesian is closely related to Polish language, that’s why it is considered as a dialect of Polish by some linguists.

Alphabet петнемс

There’s not one Silesian alphabet. The Silesian speakers are used to write their language with the Polish characters. In 2006 was invented the new Silesian alphabet, based on all of the Silesian scripts (there’s 10 of them). It is widely used on the Internet, as well as in the Silesian Wikipedia.

Aa Bb Cc Ćć Čč Dd Ee Ff Gg Hh Ii Jj Kk Ll Mm Nn Ńń Oo Pp Rr Řř Ss Śś Šš Tt Uu Ůů Ww Yy Zz Źź Žž

And some digraphs: Ch Dz Dź Dž.

Yes, that's the our problem, too. During the communists' time in Poland there was the politics of nation's unification and the Silesian and Cashubian languages were called "gwara" and not "język" (language), which gives them a status of village's speech. Until now most sources name our lanugage as "dialekt" or "gwara" and recent linguistics' opinions aren't taken into account :( There are even two articles on the Polish Wikipedia - pl:Język śląski and pl:Dialekt śląski (which btw are the same thing). As you see, Moksha and Silesian people have some things in common ;) I'm waiting for your English text so as to translate that ;) Timpul корхнема 17:23, 24 Августков 2008 (UTC)
The translation is ready: szl:Mokšańe. I can translate the history with pleasure :) Timpul корхнема 06:58, 25 Августков 2008 (UTC)

Translation петнемс

Tre bone ;) Vi povas vidi la liston de lingvoj en kiuj mi parolas en mia silezia paĝo ;) The section is a bit long so I will translate it dividing the text into parts, but soon the whole translation will be ready ;) Of course, you all Moksha speakers arent' under control of Институт русского языка, so the official transcription do not have to be used ;) The same thing is with Silesians - we have an article szl:Uůhańsk which, due to Rada Języka Polskiego should be pronounced with "g", hence Uůgańsk in the Silesian Script. Timpul корхнема 08:08, 26 Августков 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I understand the basics of it ;) Я немножко знаю русский язык :) No the sources can be in Cyrillic :) Today I'm gonna translate a part of "Medieval history" :) And then I'll ahve time to create more stubs here, on mdf.wiki Timpul корхнема 09:31, 27 Августков 2008 (UTC)

As an Administrator, you are allowed into #wikimedia-admin, the cross-wiki coordination channel for Wikimedia administrators. Any member of the channel can invite you in temporarily, but you need an invite exemption from a channel operator to get in whenever you want. Please come to #wikimedia and ask for an invite.

Any admin from any project is welcome and it is a good place for cross-wiki coordination of vandal and spam fighting. It is also useful for new admins to contact more experienced admins in real-time to get help with the more complicated admin tasks such as history merges/splits and importing via Special:Import.

Please remember to translate the interface at betawiki: only and to upload images preferably at commons:

Element Names петнемс

Hello! I don't know if you remember it, but I found your name accredited to a Periodic Table of Elements in Moksha. I was wondering if the information presented in it is still accurate, and I'd also like to know if you could shed any light on the meanings of their names in Moksha or their etymologies. Do you have any relevant information? 204.137.234.58 23:55, 2 Сюнерьковста 2023 (UTC)
